The beauty of the flight will be made up by the music "Flight of the Valkyrie" which will thunder from the speaker

Re: Vulcan Mini Cannon,
I don't know about anybody else but I am getting mighty fed up with members of this Forum no matter how exalted they consider themselves making up the rules as they go along

I think I am about to upset someone

Re: Vulcan Mini Cannon,
What rules are you stating you're making up? I will write them in if they make sense lol.

Re: Vulcan Mini Cannon,
Found another contemporary image. Not much to do paint-wise. Just some metallic weathering. Some wiring details would be nice.
Jarndice - did you ever have anyone rotate the loaded Minigun by hand? For the uninitiated, the minigun is electrically spun, but the firing mechanism is mechanical. If you playfully rotated the barrel back at base, "bang"!

Re: Vulcan Mini Cannon,
If the machine gun does not have a belt with cartridges, then the barrel block can be easily rotated by hand......
A loaded weapon cannot be rotated in principle!
Partons from the belt will get stuck in the barrel!
The fact is that the feed stroke of the cartridges is designed so that after the shot only the cartridge case remains and if the cartridge comes out of the barrel completely after rotation, the mechanism will jam!
It is not designed so that it comes out unfired...

Re: Vulcan Mini Cannon,
I do not question your expertise with Miniguns, but please read page 43 (page 46 of the pdf) of this article. It is where I got my information. The author knew something about Miniguns in service during the '60s, but perhaps he is wrong.

They would not allow the likes of this lowly soldier to touch such hi-tech equipment,Estnische wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2025 4:45 am Found another contemporary image. Not much to do paint-wise. Just some metallic weathering. Some wiring details would be nice.
