Rob most tanks had incremental vehicle throttle, meaning they were like a sticky stigger on a controller ;)

Matt, sticky stiggers aside (  ??? ) , I hereby invite you to sit inside the tank of your choice whilst I fire 80mm rounds at it, and assess how well you maintain control whilst I do so.  ;)

No, honestly, I mean it!  ;D ;D

TRIGGERS !!!!!

fine, but i get a maus. :D

bit unfair in a sherman, because if a 80mm round hit that it wouldnt just temporarily stop, it would permernantly stop :P

besides, a tank might faulter when hit, but not stop (even without incremental vehicle throttle ;D )

Anyhow, I have now improved my modular Elmod a bit more. A push button on/off switch now sits next to the 4 pin plug, and only two wires exit the box. These go to a battery connector.

There is no way I can make it any more compact. It all works, and by leaving the tank drive control as 000, I get full power for all my tanks, and all I have to do is change the jumper settings to change the sound for each tank I put it in. So, I will not have to remove the sound board unless I want to re-program the sounds.

Quite an amazing difference between how quickly a light Panzer III goes compared to a heavy Tiger 1!

I might fit a fan in there at some point if I can find one small/cheap enough. Though according to Thomas the esc's will withstand 300 degrees before melting, by which point my plastic tanks would be a big blob of nothingness.

...and here are the controls for a tiger 1, just like driving a car??

Cheer's guy's I have been thinking about going with another tamiya DMD/MFU set up or elmod system for my other tankls. It seems the elmod looks the most versatile of the two systems and more compact to boot as well as a lot more flexible. So as soon as I can convince the minister of finance I simpley can't manage without an elmod upgrade ( soon be Christmas :haha: ) I will be back for a lot of advice. All the best for now

Hi all!

i'm interested in the Wibblywobbly installation of the elmod hardware but the pictures are no longer available.
Can the autor or someone else kindly re-post them or send them to me via PM? Thanks in advance!

bye bye!
