for a panzer to not have one would be beyond the pail

I'll get my coat :D

The real reason is the wires for the buckets are a PITA when the jack is mounted so I put the bucket on first and then the jack

PUNS!

Puns are the noblest form of humor: every other type of humor victimizes someone or some group as the brunt of the joke. But the pun is an Equal Opportunity Agony for all. :haha:

For those to whom the phrase may be unfamiliar: a pale was a stake wall used for a defensive enclosure. So the land outside was "beyond the pale" at least strange to many and likely dangerous.

Some work on the upper hull. As our postal strike looks to be lasting into the New Year I've decided to plod ahead and get the major stuff done.

Love the thought to include the always missed MG cover plug and the bump stops for the driver & radioman's hatches.
And aren't the Taigen tracks fantastic with the open guide horns.
Nice work so far

I must admit I had never noticed the machine gun plug until I bought my first Aber Panther kit on my first Panther either as very few people ever ( I think Mr. Bix's Jagdpanther build was one of the very few I have seen) do them. I then looked for them in images. It is a cool little detail and extremely easy to scratch build too.

Although there is a long way to go on this build I put it together to see how it runs as it's going up to our end of year club get together tomorrow. It's nice to see it actually looking like a tank again. That turret weighs a ton and it speaks volumes about how robust the HL/Torro rotation unit. The concept of a Tamiya rotation unit being able to deal with it is laughable. Anyway here are some images of the progress so far. Runs great too although the IR battle unit has 3 wires popped out of the JST :headbang:

Although I didn't wait for the decals to show up I will give my eBay sellers credit to at least give me the eBay international shipping option which avoids Canada Post and the first one of 2 arrived today. I have another Panther planned and maybe more :haha: :haha: :haha: So after seeing Kaczor 's VW build I had to have one and now 2 :D . So here are the 2 unfinished projects together. Both of them being at the running stage is great
