Well since I'm a beginner I did some research and went with well rated inexpensive kit and made sure to get the compressor with a tank.

I'll be practicing very soon. Based on the painting I've seen done on Youtube videos that I like the paint is generally thinned quite a bit. I decided to stay with Tamiya paints as I already have some and I understand that Tamiya acrylics are airbrush and novice friendly.

Andy's Hobby had lots of tables full of goodies at the 2024 IMPS nationals and Andy was there the whole time, although exhausted by the time I got free to look around the vendor tables on Friday.

This is one of the best compressors, it is "dual-core", allows you to work with thin nozzles, as well as with a 0.8 mm nozzle, for large surfaces and heavier paints, especially primer, two-component varnish, I painted this plane and changed the livery twice and believe me, they say it worked...

Congrats. Guess that leaves me as one of the few rattle canners left. Tamiya can no longer export their spray bombs to the Soviet Socialist Republic of Kanuckistan due to a government prohibition on some ingredient in them. But if I do any more tanks they will be allied or Cold War so I can use Vallejo for them

Not quite, I have an airbrush which greatly irritates me so it’s only use for weathering. I still use rattlecans for the main paint
