Welcome aboard! I swapped my HL lower for a Taigen metal lower. Big improvement and great running gear with no hassle.

I Always buy Heng Long Tiger 1s because unlike Taigen/Torro who mould all the detail on the body they keep all the detail parts on sprues which allows me to paint the Tank and then paint the tools and other fittings seperatly before fitting also the control board is better than Taigen/Torros but I always buy Taigen/Torro metal hulls they come with a quick release as well as metal torsion bar suspension and the metal hull adds rigidity to the Tank plus metal wheels and metal tracks as well as METAL spare track.

I know how you feel about painting relief-cast tools, jarndice. I have quite a bit of practice at it, which experience may account for my failing eyesight and half-baked brain.
