Open Panzer Tank Control Board from TORRO
Re: Open Panzer Tank Control Board from TORRO
Just remember anyone that is thinking of purchasing one of the boards that they do NOT come with any ESCs or any sound on board. Both must be added by the user and are added costs. Seeing that the boards I got were under $50, that was a good deal. Seeing that they are now 170 Euro and 80 Euro for the add on Pololu Qik 2s12v10 Dual Serial Motor Controller...that to me is not such a great deal. For that price, buy one of Kim's MTCU and get a complete package.

Re: Open Panzer Tank Control Board from TORRO
This is nothing new and has been known for a long time.
In the end, everyone has to decide for themselves what to buy and what to install in their model.
A well-known - albeit expensive - electronic is now available to buy again.
The TCB is not bad in its facilities, and deserves to be built.
It allows scalability in terms of ESC and sound
What TORRO does with the price is another matter...

Yes. The board definitely deserves to be made by someone.jhamm wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2024 7:34 am This is nothing new and has been known for a long time.

On the other hand - I can't stand the marketing by Torro:
"The revolution in model making technology!"
"Next-Gen Board"
It's a 7 year old board.
Calm down, Chinese Germans in Torro.
