Hmmm... I might reach out to them with the same suggestion and while I'm there see if I can get them to spill the beans on the spare port on the Rx... Got a contact for me?Kroenen1944 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 1:17 pm Thanks Rob1970 that's a lot of useful info in those photos! I've taken some shots of mine stripped down but not yet posted, yours have more detail, so thank you for posting.
pretty sure it will prove helpful to a lot more on here who wish to take a look at the CXD Vw.
I did make contact with CXD and mentioned to them that they could easily adapt the Vw Beetle platform into Kubelwagen and Schwimmwagen (as well as upgrade the wheels for this vehicle) They seemed pretty interested....no committment in writing but suggested "I watch this space"!! Would advise any interested parties here to get in touch with them and back that suggestion!

I'm sure it would, especially if you chopped front and rear of floor plan off with attached suspension and added a portion of the Kubewagen floorplan between two halves if the wheel base was in fact slightly out.. I think WCP Models have resently posted something similar on here.
something like this....

Just Google:
Fertigungswerk 16 in Austria.
Lukas offers a resin set with several accessories for this Beetle, including a roof rack, rims with the choice of 2 different kind of tires, a Notek light and a few more other things!

I have just measured my Banggood VW Rolling R/C Chassis against the Tamiya Kubel Floorpan and side panelsKroenen1944 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 3:08 pmI'm sure it would, especially if you chopped front and rear of floor plan off with attached suspension and added a portion of the Kubewagen floorplan between two halves if the wheel base was in fact slightly out.. The wheel base is identical, The Rolling R/C chassis fits inside the width but there is a small element of overhang front and rear of the Tamiya floorpan,
Nothing that is not fixable.
I might have to adjust the hight of the rolling chassis.
Ostensibly the conversion is a goer we shall have to see.
I think I am about to upset someone
