I've enjoyed reading the above messages...so interesting, from all over the world. I did an inet search to learn more about Argyle and Bute
You are very welcome. We encourage the colonists to participate in in the forum, and to find other parts of the world. Argyle and Bute, is small lumpy, more wetter bit of Scotland, with temperate rain forest. 🤣🤣🤣
Did we tell you we need photographs ?

I'll admit that I'm having trouble figuring out which detail parts I should add...a bit of analysis paralysis. I might be better off filling in the slots with putty.

I need to choose a prototype, clearly. To that end, I just ordered a few books concerning this. I love learning, but I'll just have to be patient with the process.

I took a pic of my tank with the cell phone, and I'm trying to upload it...its a JPEG that's 3,629 KB...not sure why I can't, if the limit is 3 MB. Any advice? Thanks!

Actually for many of us (even with multiple tanks) IT'S the research behind our builds. I often tell people that I buy a $100-200 tank and spend a year working on it. So as far as hobbies go at least for me, it's an affordable hobby with so many facets.

Most of use an image service to post our pictures. I use Imgur, free to join and upload pictures. Then we add a "link" to our post for our pictures. There are some threads on the forum to help with posting pictures. This one is under the Tips and Tricks section: viewtopic.php?t=3634

jarndice wrote: Fri Jul 05, 2024 9:44 am I would suggest you go to the Build pages to see what has been done to the T34,
If memory serves there is a simple mod that needs doing to the tracks,
Ya got me curious even though I don't have any current issues. What track mod are you eluding to? I looked but didn't see.

I think not track mods as such, but reducing the height of the suspension arms to give it a better stance.
I used 5mm packers in each slot to get the arms sitting lower.
Its a standard mod to the H/L T34 to get a better look.

This morning I have a friend coming over for a rather long garage project. His 8 year old son wants to join him. I have my all plastic HL T34/85 (the only BB shooter left in the fleet) ready for his entertainment. It is mostly stock other than some light hull reinforcement and a smoker removal.

Three acres, three batteries charged, charger on standby and a bucket of airsoft pellets. Should be the ultimate durability test...
