Looking very good so far. It's even tempted me to look into doing one of these once I've got all of my other projects up and working and earned a LOT more money ( let's not even mention the WIFE'S views on tanks lol ). Keep those pictures coming .

Excellent build Mart, I have started to gain an affection for these little beasties. I was pondering the traverse mechanism as well. I think the easiest way would be to use the traverse mechanism and mount from the Tamiya Jagdpanther. Its would just have to be mounted in the right place for the pivot point to be correct. Can the Tamiya recoil, traverse and elevation units be used on other electronics?
I did think about a complex way to it using servos, but it would be a major pain to set up.

Servo's can be made to work, but you are limited to Tam electronics, or a 6 channel El-Mod setup. You would need at least motor elevation for the DBC to work with it, tho a servo would work here for traverse. I'm hoping to use this method with the HL recoil and elevation from a stug, but mounting the elevation motor in such a way that it can move side to side is causing me a headache.

Update time:
Filled in around the front last week:

Put the exhausts on today:
I had to dremel out the remains of the old mounts to fit the new single stacks, all pretty simple with the right tool tho (I used their tiny ball-nose cutter).



Also added a bunch of the detailing parts, and sanded down the mantlet for a better fit.

Last job was to make some holes for fitting the engine bay shields - there are some support brackets in the kit, but I'd already fitted the shields before I realised what they were for..
Needless to say I coped with just a huge dollop of epoxy...

The more I see of this build the more I want one. Is there somthing WRONG with me ? lol. This is now looking like a great build, just keep the pictures coming.
