Well new year-new project.
Try as I might to make this work, I just cannot get the compromise between the quirkiness of the thermal cover and a model with any sort of detail.
I’ve made the decision to go without the cover but try to get a somehow different facsimile of a Gaza’n theatre Merkava.

First off is to take it apart & get the internals & running gear sorted, and change the gearboxes to steel ones . Had those for over a year now, time to use them I reckon!

Diggin' out the oldies. Another one I'm glad to see again. Perhaps a colorful yarn knitting this time...

As it is with projects, they are gathered, planned and then sit & wait their turn.
This one seems easy on the surface, no cutting, no drastic modifications, no real depth of understanding of the use in depth of these AFVs in action other than what we see on short video clips.

My focus now is to search the web for that magic picture I can draw on to create the idea.

I can say though that I need a much bigger bench !!

Should be a good project. I had made a cope cage from mine. I was pulling a box off a really high shelf. Long story short, I don't have a cope cage for mine anymore. I did convert the black parts on the skirts to flexible material as they are in real life.

I will definitely be doing the lower skirt material change.
Shame about the cope cage mate, I could do with one of those

It really has blue tint optical devices.
If the Challenger 2 has ruby ​​coating on the glass, then here it's athermal glass with cobalt.
But the headlights are transparent, you need to change the glass there.....

I appreciate any guidance I can get & im sure the tips and techniques you share will be appreciated by the broader membership.
