How thick are the styrene sheet you are using?

Am I seeing correctly that you run styrene sheets on the inside edge attached to the upper Hull then you laminate it with another styrene sheet cut to fit and match the edge of the outer upper Hull?

And yes I see you filled the crack and spaces with? I normally use Tamiya putty for fine stuff but this looks like it needs something more. I did finally find Bondo glazing putty, that was a chore if you can believe it.

What are you going to use for Zimmerit?

It seems that HL's hulls are .060 -.080 (about 1.5 - 2mm) in thickness. But yes I did the support flange on the inside and used whichever thickness the hull side was, I'm running super low on styrene but am planning a run down to Springfield Mo. soon to reload. I buy 4x8 foot sheets, planning on a couple of .060 the one each of .040 and .020. Price should be about 100 USD for the four of them. Not sure if they stock .010, but if they do I'll get one of those too. The zimmerit will be done the same as the fenderless Tiger I. I did that with .020 but if they stock the .010 I'll give that a try. I figure I used about 30-40 sq.ft. on the big DUKW so around $35 in sheet styrene. I guarantee I spent more on Testors' cement and two part epoxy for that build.

The filler on that project is a Testors plastic filler product. I would normally use Bondo but I would have had to make many batches because it reacts so fast I would only get small sections complete before the batch becomes unworkable.

And I have never tried Bondo glazing putty, but intend to get some soon and try it.

Due to my issues with uploading pics, I had to try to upload with the attachements button, as the moderators advised me.
It worked very well!
I filled up the sides with 2mm polystyrene too.
Before I took the skirts off, I marked the spots were the brackets had been on which the skirts were hanging.
Made the brackets of 1mm thick brass strips in which I drilled 2x 1mm holes in each.

Terrific picture. You have an issue with KTs like others have for certain tanks.

Oh, that's a fine photo, Rob59. I wonder what it would look like in black-and-white.
