Hi,

I've known about cutting with button thread for a long time, but never tried it.

Please can somebody tell me how well it works using thread in a coping saw frame?

Thanks

Peter

I've tried it using a Hack Saw frame and it was a total failure, the control is lost. The method explained by Dietrich allows more cutting control and easier to make changes in the cutting angle.

I wasn't convinced until I tried it. Cutting with thread sounds nuts, but when I tried it... WOW!! It's a perfect cut! This has been one of the most helpful tips I've ever heard, thanks Dietrich!

Hi Guys,
Thanks for your comments :D ... I am glad to help...I know that it does actually sound like a ' Totally Mad Idea'.....but it works...and apparently 'Kite string' will also work very well...but I think that this may be thicker than the 'Button Hole Thread'.
