Very earlys lacked turret bins, air filters and sideskirts. some of them had side bins though.

the early-mids then (mid-ish) are the hl / tamiya model.

Off topic it may be but for those following this trainspotter-esque discussion here is the accurate version (sorry Matt  ):
Matt described the Initial Production
Tamiya & HL are early production (rubber rimmed roadwheels & high commanders hatch)
Mid production changed the hatch plus other bits but kept early roadwheels
Late production added steel roadwheels.
This is the simple version, unfortunately the Jerries used what they could lay their hands on and often refitted earlier models with late bits so you can find some from 1944 with early wheels. If you really want the definitive version go to : http://www.alanhamby.com/tiger.html

Nice choice with the Sky talk package, you will be very pleased with it!  I don't mind what wheels I get as long as they attach and don't look too silly, the tanks for me are for fun but need to be made strong, I don't mind if the Tiger becomes a little inaccurate if it means I can play around in the dirt without worrying about it

Sorry I didn't take you up on the offer, I know the hull is out of stock at Welshdragon but I can wait as the Panzer III has the hull and I need to get my ham radio licence sorry if I inconvenienced anyone
