Great work. Would love to see what you came up with to make a mold for casting the turret. Really a great subject, size and material choices for this build.

I once considered a steel civil war Monitor in a rather large scale. It still may happen but I've got other interest on the list first.

I made a pattern for the turret from mdf.
This was a bad choice.
Its horrible to turn and goes all fluffy. I ended up skimming it with body filler to obtain a finish.
