I was at HEC yesterday & couldn't resist getting in on the initial offering. Will dig into once I get home later today.

It does look very good &, unlike Hooben's, is guaranteed not to break whilst looking at it. :D

As with the KV-2, the initial run is all plastic. Metal upgrades / pro version will follow in June so I'll upgrade then.

I can wait until the metal version comes out. By then maybe I won't have 25 tanks in progress...maybe like 24... :)

I have a pretty powerful hankering for one of these myself, not sure I'll be trading my soul though! :haha:

Whew! I have until mid-summer, then, to print the money. Of course, I want the upgrades--like I need them for tanks to run 20 feet across my basement floor. :/

Hi

With regard to the torsion bar suspensionfor the Merkava Mk4?. I have built a few 1:35 Merkava kits over the years mainly the Mk1 to the Mk3 all they had the double bogie things similar to the Centrurion but the Mk4 did have what looks like torsion bar setup but with big external springs so it could be fixed to look more realistic as you can't really see the springs for the skirts and wheels. The one issue I see I am not so keen on with the ones in the pics is that they sit a little high, a bit like the Heng Long Abrams etc do but that is easily fixable?

Will be getting one of these myslef but will wait until the metal stuff comes out and give me a chance to finish one of my part done projects that are mounting up.

Lots of sprue included along with sufficient photo etch & plenty of chain for the rear turret skirts. I'm 2 hours into it & still have another pack of parts plus the photo etch to do. Overall, detail looks very good for HL.

I especially like how they did the battery box on the upper hull. 8)

The recoil action looks weird, like backwards ;)
