Ya I have the Elmod fusion pro and I really like the realistic driving characteristics it provides. It looks to me like you can simulate a lot of the same characteristics on the Beier board. At least I'm hoping so because II want the realistic functions of a real tank.

I’ll give that a try. I’m soon going to get my Panzer III Beier programmed.

I hope you will be detailing the Pzkw. III built, Jim. I am curious about the Beier electonics. Such control and sound is just a dream for me now, but I have plenty of candidates for such a board.
Re: Beier SFR-1-D Double Sound Speed Controller
I’m going to model it as one that’s been blown to bits at the outskirts of Leningrad but still able to run and shoot. Most details will be blown off or barely hanging on. The storage bin (which I’ve already removed to use on another Initial Production Tiger project) will be blasted off and smoke will be coming out of the wrong places. It will belong to Abt 502 as a companion to my Tiger. Purely a fun, stress relieving project.

Tanker 1966 and Jimster: from the Beier web site, it seems that the SFR-1-HL is physically configured to match the array of connectors in a production HengLong or Taigen/Torro tank; whereas, the SFR-1-D is configured to be like other boards used for various kinds of RC ground vehicles and aircraft. Can you tell if I have it correct?

I believe that is a fair summation.

Yes, SFR-1-HL is almost plug & paly in case of Heng Long and Taigen where SFR-1-D need some rework of cables (i.e. turret cable).

Oh, yes, Rad: I have watched your reviews more than once. I am getting really interested in trying a Beier board, but for some time funds are going to be a bit low. C'est la Vie.
