Looking forward to seeing one alongside a Tamiya one to compare.

I don’t think it’ll be much cheaper tbh and it’s a shame took so long to release.

Having something injection molded plastic takes time. Those molds can be done in aluminum which takes less time to cut with a CNC machine. To then add metal injection molding takes a molds cut out of steel. Each aluminum mold can cost north of $10,000 and steel molds are usually more. Each one of these tanks takes over a dozen molds to build enough parts to produce each tank. Each mold has to be checked to ensure it is repeatable and that every cavity in the mold is filled when the injection starts. It is a huge financial undertaking to do an injection molded tank.

I really applaud Haya for sticking with it.

Thank you, tankme, for a good reminder of what we all need to remember. Doing injection molding in plastic or metal is mind-bogglingly expensive and challenging.
