I'm a big fan of any T-34, but this is something else! Absolutely next-level fabrication, Michal. There's not going to be much left of the original Trumpeter kit by the time you're done!

Raminator, thanks so much for the appreciation!
I really appreciate every single expression of interest, any comments, as well as the time spent writing a response. Because in doing so, that person is giving the other person a piece of something very precious, since our time is the most valuable thing we have...
Anyway, Trumpeter kit was used as a base primarily in an effort to get the best possible detail in the final model, which the simplified HL version did not offer. Also, at that time, the upgrade parts offerings were very limited or not available at all in comparison to nowadays. Therefore, many of the parts that can be simply purchased today are scratch built.
Besides, as is pretty common knowledge, even some tuning parts are nothing more than just a basis for further tuning rather than a perfectly working part. And frankly, last but not least, sometimes it's even a matter of inadequate price. But that's obviously a pretty individual thing of course.
Long story short, when I addressed the question of whether to buy the plastic RC of T´ available at the time, then carve everything up anyway, replace the complete electronics, drive, gearboxes, etc., I still wouldn't be left with more than a plastic shell. And that's what the static version provides in significantly better quality for similar price IMHO.
So the decision was made...

I've converted a few of the static kits, but simply put the upper hulls on the Taigen T34 lowers. I kinda figured this was done before those parts were available, but I think the conversion looks great.

Exactly!
When this project started few years ago there was just HL option and some last few pieces of WSN hull in the market, but I wasn' t succesfull to get one. Even metal idler and sprocket wheels were not yet available. Not to mention metal road wheels etc.
So I went like this cause I was impatient and wanted to start ASAP. Taigen or former WSN lowers would have speed up whole build significantly, there' s no doubt about it..
BTW: I've seen some of yours T-34 projects already and I have to say very nice work!

Shotek, in the case of your handiwork, it would not be possible to "stick to the condition of the tank in the photo to the last screw." Your 1/16 tank is probably better built! "Astounding," "amazing," "the next level," and even better yet.
