I suppose at worst, copping the price of that will be just punishment for me for being a novice driver on an Elmod board with a borrowed model.

I reckon one of those swingarm bits you said, AND, one of the arms that actually carry the wheels.
I'm going to go with that the thing I busted IS an Asiatam.
Whats the worst that can happen eh !
