I can testify to the quality of the WCP MODELS ( Will and Catherine's ) 1/16 scale ¼ ton truck (jeep) for anyone wishing to purchase an rc ready version, below is my own effort of one of these and the 2nd picture shows it with my static offering from Danbury mint, as you can see from the picture the scale and details stack up well against the diecast model

Thanks Guys, glad to hear all of you with one of the WCP 1/4 ton trucks enjoys it and is proud of what they have received.
Its also great to see them being detailed up by their owners.
When will the Takom one be out? I need to get one anyway to see about a conversion kit if its worth doing

Kaczor, that is a brilliant conversion of the Danbury Jeep! I have a Danbury Jeep that will remain static, and I just ordered two of the Takom Jeeps. Fortunately I have enough food and enough gasoline in my Jeep Renegade ("Spaghetti Western") to last until my pension check comes. 
I have Will's vehicle and will return to it this week, as I just finished a static 1/18 1941 Chevrolet convertible, a "simple" kit I turned to for a quick (two months) build for fun. I will show the WCP vehicle when it is sorta finished, but my skills are limited so don't expect much compared to your wizardry.
