Just FYI the Ammo and AK stuff is expensive.

In the states where I am a bottle of Ammo or AK stuff is $14-$15. for 100 ml.

Many modelers use Gun Bluing solution. It turns metal tracks black not blue.

I use something called Oxpho-blue from Brownells. It's much more affordable and it comes in 4 oz to 32 oz sized containers.

100ml = 3.38 fl Oz.

4 fl Oz. of Oxpho-blue is $9.99
32 fl Oz. is $59.99, I bought this size on sale last December for $48.

Just sharing a more affordable option that works the same.

Hi Mr tank a lot,

I have a HAYA Chieftain being delivered tomorrow. It has metal tracks with rubber pads.

Would this Burnishing Fluid be OK to use on them......and should I run some thin superglue around the rubber pads - just to make sure they are fixed properly?

Since first reading this I have watched the video from Mr tank a lot to see that the tracks that he was using were fitted with rubber pads, so I should have no worries about dunking my new Chieftain tracks when they arrive - this is a much better idea than painting them!
