I have added some split files to the Churchill set so that those with smaller print beds like the ender 3 will be able to print the larger items and join them. The split items are suffixed by a and b.

The Crusader files are also now available for the usual £50 fee. They will print on a 250x250 bed.

The Churchill build instructions are now available but are only partially complete, the full set should be complete within a couple of days. The current version allows completion of the lower hull.

Hi Carl, no but I think I have split all the necessary files so it can be printed on an ender 3. I will check and make sure. I can email you the build instructions if you pm me your email address.

Might be a daft question but could the chieftain files be scaled to 1/6?

Scaling to 1/6 is technically feasible but wouldn't provide a good result. The printed items would be very heavy and may not fit together properly. Also the bolt holes would not be the correct size. I have seen models scaled up in this way and they always wind up incredibly heavy and odd looking. A friend of mine purchased a scaled up dodge truck which I then had to design and fit a suspension to, but the truck was so heavy he battled to find a high torque motor to drive it. In the end he sold it to someone just to get rid of it. Ideally 1/6 size modelled should be redesigned to scale to minimise weight where it isn't needed but still provide a robust and accurate model.

was that Wayne's handiwork? I did tell him that would end in tears when he asked for the files, but he wouldn't listen :lolno:

It was more to get a general idea of the shape before totally re engineering it!
