Sorry Rad, I probably should have read your review before I started asking questions. I've managed to find an Australian distributor of Beier boards who stocks the D version for a pretty decent price so I think I'll give one a go.

To anyone who's in the States (USA ) I just bought the Beier board and the local distributor in the USA is Hobby Concepts. He also has a bunch of videos on YouTube on how to program the boards....I have been playing with it and it is a fantastic motherboard. If you buy the board make sure you also but the program cable...it makes life much easier

Just looked at their website. I’ll be damned. Could’ve saved some time and shipping. Oh well. What’s done is done. Thanks for the heads up just the same.

It's a company called Construction Scale Model Imports but don't bother because they confusingly advertise all the prices on their website in USD by default despite being in Australia. When you click the option to convert back to south pacific pesos it's much cheaper to buy from Germany or the US.

If their USD price was in AUD it would be roughly on par with the order from Germany price so it wasn't even that good, just faster postage. When you click on the AUD button though you're looking at an extra $100 for the privilege of supporting a local business. :O

There is another Australian supplier, Aussie RC Trucks and Trailers, but he doesn't hold stock and orders them from Germany anyway so I think the best option for anyone down here is to go direct to Beier.

That’s what I did. Ordered direct. Should be here any day now. Tracking shows that it’s now in the USA.

According to DHL my board is now here in the USA and soon to arrive at my local postal distribution center. I feel like a kid at Christmas! Should be here sooner than later. I can hardly wait to get it installed and programmed to suit my Tiger 1. It’s a bit more involved than the Elmod board but I’m getting used to steeper learning curves.
