The tamiya tiger is the most accurate tiger you can get but it is a kit which requires building and painting as you say your not into modelling or RC so perhaps go to the download section and download the instruction for the tiger to see whats involved in building it. If you think its to involved for you then go for the taigen.
Both the tamiya and the taigen have torsion bar suspension so if its going to spend time sitting around you will need to put a little support under the tank to stop the torsion bars from sagging.

Herr Dr. Professor wrote:Lenny, I like Fred's disagreeing with me. That's a fine feature of RCTW: differing opinions and good natured fun. Fred has more modeling skill in his little finger than I have ever dreamed of having. Check out his remarkable work by clicking on his name.

I m confuse, because I did not see that he wanted one rtr.

Thank you for compliment, but my problem is tahn I don't know how to paint...

Try his first post.... "I’m not really into modelling or RC, I’m a militaria collector and love military history."

Enhancing a RTR seems to me the safest route.

Id just get Mr Adlavs Tamy Tiger.
Its RTR, has all the bits, and no doubt it was assembled well.
You get an accurate early tiger 1 finished to a high standard.
Plus you have spare funds to run wild on another project!

Or, a Taigen.
First, there are many versions of the 3 sub species, Early, Mid, and Late. Decision to make.
They are very good, and simple to use, easy to get parts for, but, are not 100% accurate out of the box.
Plus a decision on where to buy from..............

Your call but thats how I'd go if I lived up there.

If it was my 55th birthday I would get myself an Aeromate Tiger.
I can’t keep my eyes off that master piece.

I bit pricey it is though.
