I now have sausage digits.....(330 volts...TWICE!...luckily, low amps......bets thing is it felt like the 'stranger' for two days!! :o :P)

Yep, it's an HL unit.  brown n yellow male connector dangles from the 5 pin connecting cable.  Three wires (red, black, blue) easily connect to 'MGFIRE" via plug...and unit charges.

Which wire did you connect to fire the flash?

Note: if the flash unit extension cable is plugged into 'MGFIRE', extra two wires from female plug(brown n yellow) when crossed, cause the fire sound and motion!

I will try to post pic...

I have dismantled my Jagdpanther.

There are two sets of wires coming out of the flash unit.

Multi-coloured = These go nowehere except the clear plastic tube. They do not plug into anything.
Blue/Red/Black = 2nd socket in along the top.

Brown/Yellow female = White/Orange male

Hopefully this pic makes it clear....

To trigger the flash and track recoil, short the two wires that are in the plug that doesn't seem to have anywhere to plug into.

If you want to trigger just the flash, short the center wire of the three that are plugged in against one of the wires next to it. I forget which, but it's pretty easy to tell when you get the right one, and you only have two choices.  I connected them to the momentary contact switch on an Asiatam recoil, with a resistor in line (just in case). Resistor value=? I started with large resistance values and went down until I found one that triggered the flash.

Good luck!

Trust you to ask that when I have the tank back together! I will have a look tomorrow.  ;D
(Unless you see a white/orange pair of wires that are dangling around without a home in the meantime).

I just took another look at the pic, there is a white/orange pair on the right with a red band around them, on the bundle that goes into the first socket...do you have the same?

I have just had to take the Jagdpanther apart again..it looks like you unplug the orange/white lead, and then plug the yellow/brown into the socket. The orange/white then plugs into the other end of the yellow/brown.

Hope that helps!

Cheers
