M26 Pershing - 1/16 Tamiya Full option
Re: M26 Pershing - 1/16 Tamiya Full option
Today was spent cleaning up flash, assembly of some small parts, some paint primer & base coat tests. I forgot to take pictures of painted pieces. I will do that in a little bit and post a second time tonight.

OK, so in the suggestions, I would recommend setting up bearings on the road rollers and drive axle outputs.

Exactly the kind of input I hoped for. I'm very new to RC and although money isn't a never-ending stream of green, I will upgrade when it's warranted and I can afford to.Jofaur86 wrote: OK, so in the suggestions, I would recommend setting up bearings on the road rollers and drive axle outputs.

Finished up steps 34, 35 and most of 36. Just plugging away.

Steps 43, 44, 45 and part of 47. Hooking up the recoil adjuster arm and gun barrel spring was a challenge for me, but we got it. Things are progressing and as I have heard and experience throughout the years, Tamiya parts just fit right! Getting ready to order tracks and controller/mf units.

Very, very nice- but I keep finding my gaze drawn towards the Fender Strat; the Banjo; the National Resonator (Steel)- and more. I have a fair collection myself, vying for space- as well as attention, with my relatively new hobby of model tank building (6 years). I've been playing the guitar and other instruments since 1965 (but not continuously ).

yes - my music room is also my model making room! I forget I have that stuff hanging in the background. my strat is an Eric Johnson body and a Mexican rosewood fretboard neck. I never have cared for maple fretboards. my banjos are a little more special at least as far as age goes. anyway, thank you! now back to tanks!43rdRecceReg wrote:Very, very nice- but I keep finding my gaze drawn towards the Fender Strat; the Banjo; the National Resonator (Steel)- and more. I have finished up basic assembly. Now I will acquire and install the electronics. Once that step is completed, I will begin painting and weathering.

Started painting over the weekend. Laid down a light grey primer first. It was the only shade I had. Did some crude masking to keep overspray out of the interior. I'll continue with more detail paint from here.
