Hi Herman,
It isn't difficult! Buy a paint set for the dedicated uniform style (pea pattern, smocks or black panzer uniforms) print some photo's preferably in 1/16 scale and paint away.
These are the sets I use, but there are more:

And on youtube is also a lot of information available.

But the most important thing is; behappy with your work!
I build and paint purely for my own pleasure. If some-one doesn't like it: no problem. If some-one likes it, nice!

I don't think your passengers should stop this model from being RC functional. I'm sure they would enjoy the ride!

wonderful work that everyone has to appreciate, there must have been a lot of work, time, and money to build a detailed beautiful tank and a crew of figures who radiated your hands and colors, you are very handy, the tank should ride, even with a commando landing

So far I am done with painting 17 figures, I need a break to do some real modelwork.
Here a photo in Barbara Geddes style:


Now the wheels and tracks are on:



On the other side, I testfitted some Wecohe schurtzen, and they seem to fit:


Now a question!
I bought a chemical, used to paint weapons, for the tracks.
For this it is really important to de-grease the tracks.
What is the best solution for this?
Any help is appreciated!

P.S. I have a Wecohe set for the front fenders, or should I buy Shapways front fenders?

Hey Rob,
the same answer here:
first spirit
then warm water with dishwashing liquid without hand care additive
then rinse tracks thoroughly
then blow dry

Assuming it’s gun blue, be certain that you have sufficient volume to cover both sets. You will lose a bit on the first track & possibly be short to cover the second!

Small progress to show!
The front fenders are almost done, I wait a delivery of rivets from Germany.
And the Panther is now covered in the Sandyellow basecolor.
Next will be the jack on the rear plate, and the toolrack on the right side.

Somehow I missed this post initially. I totally agree with what Herman has said! That is some of the finest uniform painting that I have ever seen!
That is going to be one great looking Panther! I love the Zimmerit on it! Fantastic!

Now that I'm aware of this little gem, I shall be watching closely!

Rob, I can understand that others are urging you to make this an RC model, and, indeed, it would be a dandy one! Yet I see some advantages you have to building it as a static model. One simple example is that of the figure standing up out of the driver's hatch. Moreover, you have a fine, fine array of delicate detail. I applaud your work!
