There are times when I wish my Dremel drill stand had a broader foot so that with the dremel in the horizontal I could bolt a hand vice to the stand which would certainly make work stable and more accurate.

I found that, and made up a wooden plinth about a foot square. I bolted the drill stand to it which solved the stability problem, but it takes up a lot more room on my work bench…

I wonder if a better man/woman than me could make up a metal plate that would butt upto and bolt onto the side of the existing dremel drill stand using the pre-existing bolt holes with similar vice mounting points as the drill stand,
As a side gain it would allow me to bolt on my universal work unit so there we are instant mini lathe

Thank you, I did look into Proxxon, and I like the looks very much, but it seems Dremel has more options with accessoiries.....

I have a Ryobi system that has a cable drive hand piece for all the various tool heads.
Comes with a clamp on stand for convenient location.
