From what ive researched so far, the us forces tank of choice was the M48 Patton. ARVN crews loved the Bulldogs compactness and ease of operating inside it, due to their small stature, some thing US crews had complained about since Korea( True fact....Wikapedia) But who ever used it, it did fight in Vietnam, and with distinction. In operation LAMSON 719, of which my tank will be from, 17 Bulldogs destroyed, Six T-54's and SIXTEEN PT-76's in one day, to NO loss of thier own! The more I research this tank, the more I like it.

Scratch the previous comment about the US not using the Bulldog in Nam, I miss read what i was reading (a trip to the opticians needed) They did indeed use it but prefered the M-48, often passing the bulldogs onto ARVN units.

the americans used the bulldog early in the nam war and i think the main reason was the newer better m48
the french army also used them in nam too 12 were stripped to basic components and air dropped out to a french unit under heavy bombardement from the nva and re-built in the field to use against the nva
it worked but the french were soon over powered and airlifted out
the dogs or whats left of them are still there
