Stevie, thats a fine looking hummel you have there. Can you tell me, what were the red and white poles used for, that I see attached to the rear of the hummel ?

I thought they were cleaning rods for the barrel but as you can see they are hanging up inside so they must be some sort of range finding aid good question.
