Hello there from over the pond. You are all making me jealous of those 3D printers. Here in the US, I once interviewed for a job in far southern Virginia. It was an intimidating interview, and I was only 25. I was put at the end of a large table with seven others grilling me for a job at a technical college. I handled the questions, but one caught me by surprise.
Q: "What do you think about teaching in a medium security prison?"
Insert embarrassingly long pause here:
A: "medium secure."
They offered me the job anyway, but I had already nabbed another one.
Many years later, a colleague, a high-powered philosophy professor, told me of his early teaching days in similar institution. He and his students exchanged the most effective means of making fake farting noises in the bathrooms.

"all the kits, paints and bits and pieces that you forget you need until you see them."
Spoken like a true modeler!
(I did that yesterday: oh, look at the bottom line on that receipt!)

Nothing good ever comes from looking at that bottom line. You've already done it, enjoy it
And welcome to Lee in Dorset btw, I'm next door in Hampshire
