Thanks for all the tips! I have not ventured into a Slobby Lobby for some time because of the dreaded virus. So the online tips are especially useful. The gear on that M10 TD is great.

Take a look at the old style waxed sail thread, although that's probably not so easy to find. Failing that, they still sell the waxed thread for sewing leather in various gauges. You can get it in various rope coloured shades and it doesn't look "hairy" like fine threads or string usually does.
