A Christmas toast of your favorite libation and a virtual piece of my pastry stuffed with sausage and cream cheese topped with shredded cheddar cheese. It’s still hot so be careful!

Oh goodies! Oh, goof: I posted my Christmas photo under "General Discussion." If any moderator wants to move it here and dump this, please and thank you. Above all, Frohe Weinachten.

As it's Christmas, you're forgiven
Besides, as it has a tank picture, it is sort of tank related general discussion

Slightly late for a White Christmas...but a lot of white things in the garden this morning!

Of course, it's still Christmastide until the Twelfth Night (and for some- Christmas Day is the 7th Jan

).
Christmastide's an interesting term. 'Tide' was the Anglo-Saxon word for 'Time', and 'News'. Think:- Tide/Zeit and Tiding/Zeitung in English and German, once sister languages. A wee factoid
Hope you're all safe and well!. Terry- hope you're fully fit again. All the best.!

Watch out for that snow, always waiting to catch you unaware. . . . .

Thank you for the “tide/time” etymology. As geezerdom was approaching, I resisted getting a smart phone (all that money not going to hobbies; what a waste). But I gave in because I was always wanting to look up word origins no matter where I was. (...remember when we used to be able to leave home?) Of course, the audiologist’s vehement objections to my ten-year-old cell phone had something to do with it.
The impish snowman is great!
