Rotary Tool
Re: Rotary Tool
Yeah, I've had my variable speed Dremel branded one since probably around 2005. Still going strong. Never had to replace the brushes or bearings. I do have a cheapo nail salon type rotary machine (it's purple) that my girlfriend bought me. I keep a sanding drum on it all the time. It's corded to the base so the tool end is small and light. It has a foot pedal which is actually quite convenient. I use the actual Dremel for everything else. The cheapo unit is nice because it stays on the workbench all the time while the Dremel usually gets put back in it's case after use.

Re: Rotary Tool
My Dremel 10.8 v cheap version started to die a couple of years ago, battery running out fast and bearing slack was the last straw. Bought the 4000 corded kit version with the flexible shaft. The unit is well made, worth the extra cost.
Re: Rotary Tool
Yeah, mine is corded. I don't bother with cordless rotary tools.
