I Think That is a Heng Long TK6.0 board,
Both the TK6.s and The TK6.1s has it written on the front of the board.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

The 6 and the 6.1 are labelled thus.

The one Scott is showing us looks more like a duel sound, or before.
It is possible that the transmitter supplied is the wrong one for the board, but I wouldn't have thought they would have altered the binding circuit through the board upgrades  unless the new boards speak a different language.

Scott, did you say the lights flash when you turn the tank on?

Yes the lights flash and you can hear the speaker is live too but it won’t do anything else no matter what I do

Sometimes those battery connections push a pin/tube back and it acts like a dry joint, they aren't the best type of connector, always worth making sure you have a good connection, the tank will light up like it does with a dead battery, but it won't do anything else. Also you could have been supplied a dead battery, have you any means to test the battery, especially under load?
And lastly, this isn't meant to offend, but this silly question has had results, sometimes the AA batteries are overly tight in the transmitter, and they don't touch the connectors properly, is the red light coming on?

Well. I would be inclined to think it’s a transmitter issue there then. Though that is the last generation board. I have some of the older transmitters but I’m not sure if they would be of any use as the are from the previous generation bored to what you have but I’m happy to send you one to try
It’s your tank it’s what you make it

I realise that the Chinese grasp of English can produce some interesting results but are all the TK series of Heng Long boards printed with the word Receiver mispelt,
The rule of thumb when dealing on line with a major company is to treat misspellings in official communications as spam so is this a FAKE board or just the Chinese printer mislaying his dictionary ???
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:
