I dislike assumptions but I assume you bought it from Torro GMBH Germany because in the UK there are licensed dealers which begger's the question why not use a dealer who we all know and trust such as
www.rctank.de/
or
www.forgebeartanks.com
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

are you pushing the left lever up? on my torro tiger 1 that is the fire actuator for the cannon NOT elevation as it would be instictivly.
.
the elevation is controlled solely by the Down left stick as its on a Cam mechanism to push it up and down with a rotor .

give that a try
If all else fails your just not using the right sized hammer.

The barrel is facing down there is a cog loose in the turret . Usually stays And not move but you can move up and down with your hand . Which is not not like the others

It would really help if you could post some photos. I've owned a lot of these tanks and I never heard of that particular problem before. A photo of the Cog you are talking about might help quite a bit.

And you, and all the rest of you guys out there, should go to your PayPal page and sign up for shipping reimbursement. If you can't find it, you can call PayPal and they'll walk you through it, but it's free to sign up and then if something happens and you have to return an item and the vendor doesn't want to provide return shipping, PayPal will refund you up to $30 of your return shipping cost. This isn't a joke, I've used it myself before and I know it works. I totally agree that you should not have to pay return shipping for a defective item and PayPal also agrees, hence the return shipping program. Like I said, it's free and it only takes a few minutes to sign up.

If the barrel can be lifted freely by hand then the elevation mechanism is either damaged or has become disengaged. Either way it's clearly faulty and the outfit you paid for it is responsible for sorting it out and you should not be out of pocket. PayPal is very good at sorting out these sort of issues.

I guess that some of us that know these models and components back to front might decide to fix it themselves simply to avoid the faff but we probably have big spares boxes! Torro are big boys and they shouldn't be treating you this way - which is why we UK based chaps tend to use Forgebear for our needs.

Is Torro barrel control different from that on HL and Taigen? You can freely push the barrel down on these tanks. It’s normal.

2x early Tiger 1's made from parts of HL, Taigen, Mato and whatever I saw suitable.

For Airsoft Tanks they're basically all the same style elevation units, but for IR there's a different unit in the Torro than the HL.
