I have got the Taigon gearboxes fitted on to a 3mm thick aluminium plate to space them up witout to much bother I just drilled through the hull and put screws through and fastened them down with nyloc nuts
Image
Image
A bit of dremel work to clear the drive sprockets and on to the other end of the chassis.
It was time to get the power file out and "adapt" the asia tees adjustable rear idler carriers to fit the taigon metal hull

just need checking for width compared to what i cut off and a bit of tweaking as the slines in the bosses were not symetrical and the arms were not exactly level when placed in the same positions but i will probably put some chemical metal in the gaps when they are sorted so they should be pretty solid when done.
But More importantly for this thread I couldnt leave the computer alone and i started to cad up another variant of the brummbar and tonight I decided to start printing it off to check it and when its done I will also put it on thingiverse it uases the same gun assembly and a modified version of the first model it may not be 100% scale but close enough for me

I shall keep everyone posted as to how i am getting on with it.

I was lucky enough to spend fathers day in the shed with very few distractions so was able to do a few mods to the top hull as well as some more filling and sanding to get rid of all the print lines.
First on my list was to alter the front mount that was fouling the Taigen gearboxes the two screw posts had to be cut very short and two new short screws that had to have the points ground down to place the tab as close to the hull as possible even had to grind the tab to clear the gearbox frames
Image
The tab on the lower hull had to be raised level with the top
Image
and had to be tweeked to get the join as good as possible
Image
Next i marked the rear deck and got the saw out
Image
Image
I used automotive bumper repair epoxy to stick it together
Image
I have cut down and re attached the rear hull mount but it need re enforcing with some off cut parts when i stiffen the joint in the rear deck
Image
Im glad that I got the long 1mm drill bit as it made doing the hinges easier although I did have an issue with one hinge but solved it by spreading superglue gell all over the hinges and letting it go solid before filing and drilling the hinges
Image
Image
Image
Image
While the glue was out I glued the roof sections together
Image
Image
Image
After some sanding I put some red on it to see where the lines are still visible and see what needs smoothing and filling on the roof
Image
Image
Image
Image
and worryingly It looks like Ive started my next prodject already :O I printed off the next citadel but the pla fillament was old and i think the nozzle was worn out as i had to replace it to get the next fillament to print properly
Image
Image
I even printed the roof

I know Im getting a bit ahead of myself here but you may be glad to hear I have had all the parts put on to my next Brummbar and it looks like it is ok to make so I have uploaded the files for it to thingiverse and if you make one let me know of any issues so i can correct the models.
It can be found here
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4497936/files
I have added some pictures now as for some reason they were set to pivate when i tried uploading when this post was first done

Today I managed to put the weld detail on to the citadel
Image
Now its together and the front ring glued in place the gun looks low for some reason so may have to shim it a bit to raise it slightly but thats not a big problem
Image
Image
Image
The rear deck is looking good after a fair bit of work
Image
It looks a lot messier on the inside LOL
Image
I fitted the drivers vision block to the citadel with a magnet glued to it
Image
And a piece of mild steel welding rod glued in place
Image
Allowing the drivers block to be moved #

The last few evenings I have managed to add a few details to the rear hull
I knocked up a couple of spare wheel brackets and some angle sections for the rear of the citadel
Image
I also added some handles to the hatches
Image
Image
Scratch built a tool box not exactly to scale but it is good enough for me
Image
Image
And added some tools to the other side to even it up
Image
Image
I was never happy with the plastic exhaust and as it was broken when I got it I decided to make a brass one from the stuff left over from the sturmtiger build after rolling and soldering the main body It was time to hammer out the ends
Image
and solder them to the main part
Image
Printed off some exhaust outlets
Image
Drilled some holes to screw them to
Image
They will need cleaning up but they will do for the next part
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Just need to fill all the holes and make the mounting brackets and straps and on to the next thing
but first I must clean up the work bench
