Jarndice!!
*chuckles* Stripes and an Officer's lanyard and all that. My favorite daily pocket watch was one by Swiss Army. Built like a tank with a leather pouch to carry it in and a solid chromed steel chain that I kept a Swiss Army pocket knife on the other end of. The knife was decorated with edelweiss flowers. The Ex got me that one for an Anniversary present many years ago. I pull it out and remember the 'Good Old Days' every now and again...(not forgetting that these days that we live in are eventually, 'The Good Old Days)
regards,
Painless

Sounds like the value of a Seiko watch has increased quite a bit in the last fifty five years, but that's nothing compared to a guy that was on the Antiques Roadshow about two months ago. Back in the seventies he was in the military and bought a brand new Rolex Daytona oyster that he never wore and ended up just sticking in a safety deposit box. When he took it to the Antiques Roadshow they told him it could be worth as much as $700,000. Not bad for a watch that he paid less than $400 for.
When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!

These are my personal favourites:

That one is a fake. The real Bell and Ross have a nice divers one there for half the price of the Seiko.

Aesthetically, I love 'em. Financially, I'd rather buy another motorcycle for the price.

Instead I did travel from Botany Bay, to the Imperial War Museum and bought one of these on holidays:

British allegedly and cheap as chips. When it stops working, I'll buy something else.

Speaking of watches, a reproduction of a Wehrmacht issue wrist watch would fun to wear while on backyard maneuvers or whenever. Hmmm. Might have to google that.
Quick edit: Holy cow! There’s a ton of them out there.

I guess I'll throw my two cents in. I have a Casio G shock AW 590, which fits most of your criteria. It is waterproof to 20 BAR (or 200 metres according to mr google) and goes for around 120 Australian dollars (approximately 65 pounds). It has a digital display for date, time and seconds. Doesn't have a second hand at all though, but It does have glow in the dark hands and markings. It is tough as nails and has stood up to everything I have thrown at it. I don't dive, so I can't tell you how well it would work for that but it is great for kayaking.
The only real complaints I have are that it is a bit of a pain to set the time on and it doesn't have numbers, only little rectangles around the edge.
I hope my suggestion is of some value, good luck in your search  .

Following on from Painless good advice I checked out the Citizen watch catalogue and found one that matched my wish list, This was from the US branch of Citizen, Great
Looked at the UK catalogue to check the price in sterling and no sign of the particular watch, Knowing how expensive US and British Custom charges are as well as US Mail charges that will go on the back burner for the foreseeable future
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

I recently got a Pulsar solar watch which I think ticks all your boxes and is a sensible price for a watch proof to 100m the dial is also luminous

Its a beautiful watch, very comfortable and reasonably priced for the spec

I do believe I have discovered why I was so impressed with the "Pulsar" Watch that "Alwyn"so kindly brought to my attention, It transpires that "The Pulsar Watch Company" was recently bought by "The Seiko Watch Company", If the workmanship and reliability of my late Seiko wristwatch is reflected in my yet to arrive Pulsar wristwatch then I will have another 55 years of reliable timekeeping to look forward to :haha: :haha:
