The early ones don’t have bearings in the wheels so it’s plastic on metal. Could be a clutch gearbox or an early nylon ‘speedy’ gearbox.

Takes a bit of dosh to get it working right.

New gearbox potentially. Bushing/bearing re work is a must unless you want oval wheel holes

Swapping the hull out isn’t a bad idea - but I think best bang for the buck is to sell it and buy a new Sherman 6.1.

Nick Aguilar offers the best 76mm turret option currently, seeing as the Schumo isn’t available.

Mato one is a bit meh.

Taigen one is good but it’s too heavy imo and lacks detail like Nicks.

Mick, the suspension arms are metal.

From what you've said, the selling and starting again with a Heng Long may be Paul's best option.
