Ausf did a Tamiya DAK Kubel using a Losi 1/24 scale crawler for running gear and it came out fairly robust. I have the same kit and crawler, just need to get off my duff and get 'er done. I've come to the conclusion that I have waaaay too many projects waiting to be completed.

I saw a RC tamiya kit Kubelwagen on Ebay £390+ postage
That's silly money for a 1/16. Reckin this 3d printed one can be done for between a 1/3 & 1/4 the price.

Thought i would show some interim pictures whilst we build up the paint on this little car











Stonechipped the bottom for textured look




Paint so far
2x coats Plastic primer
4x coats filler primer
2x coats red oxide
3x coats beige colour
Then need to camouflage and then weather and lacquer with matt
All printed 0.1mm layers for a good level finish which requires little sanding(phew cause i hate sanding! haha)

good job , the frame for the window you need make him foldable

And a quieter motor / transmission! Looks so realistic but sounds so toy like. There must be a sensibly priced solution out there
