38(T) gets my vote too - not mainstream or 'wow' enough for the likes of HL or Tamiya so your time likely wouldn't be wasted by the usual scratchbuilders dilemma of investing a few 100 hrs only for someone to bring one out just as good for £80.  

If its a while before you pick up the razor saw and knife, you could while away the time working out how to make it to take interchangeable bodies so you could have a Marder or Grille too to share the same chassis.  With the small profile Asiatam gearboxes in the front and perhaps changing from a battery stick to a cube +RX18 and fitting in the engine space you could probably manage to model the visible inside of a Marder (middle/ back depending on prototype).

Only downside I can see is the early onset of insanity reproducing all the rivets.

a centur was considdered .. as was the comet .. but its hard work geting a t34 chassis .... that would be a good start point

i have thought a big dick .. opps dicker max .... as its on yet another pz4 chassia and there two a penny at the moment .. i have seen several at markets for £35

also looked at the idea od a kv rot conversion to a js 3 starlin .. or some the like

but still veru much up for good ideals  .. the churchill i looked at .. but the big problem is running gear .... track .. the actual hull turret are easy ..

a centurion is also poss .. but that would need 2 x t34s .... as the road whells aer not far off correct size ...  again hull turret easy . to put to gethere as i still have a tam 1/25th kit in the box .. so scaleing up no problem

now .. the worrier is a good poss .. as you could get away with the bulldog a sdonner chassis .. again  the raod wheels ar almost there
again  a nice box structure to build ...the reme version looks good ...

the other project i have .. in the deep back ground is the m3 sturat honny ... in 1/6 .. and also a saxon apc in 1/6th
