Well you guys have got a good eye on ya. ;D ;D  Now would anyone have an idea where this picture was taken. This might be an even tougher question, but would be interesting to know. ??? ??? I would guess there would have been more than one photo taken at this location.I posted this picture from the artical that was on wikipedia and this picture was most likely selected out of several other pictures taken in this same area.?

in the top left of the pic is what looks like the back end of a DUKW and in the bottom left is the US signal crops mark and the unit flashes have been rubbed out on the ares of the soldiers arms so are they Canadian or British troops?

I saw that also, their are 5-running ducks in Hot Springs, ark. They are used daily for touring the city and lake. They are very well maintained,I believe I have pictures as we went their last year.I will try to find the photos as these vehicles are pretty durable. With one exception about 3-years ago one sank and some people were hurt, but they do maintain these ducks.Saxondog

Nice pictures tackleberry, that is for sure a "Goliath".I would guess that one is the gas version.I found another source of info on them in addition to the one on wikipedia.

It is ===    do a search on--  (light demolition carrier "Goliath" ) and this goes into a fair bit of info and more pictures on them.

I would sure like to see the inside workings of one of these guy's.I'm guessing they used some kind of steering clutches like what was used on cat's.Looks like one of these would be fun to build in the same scale as the original.

As you can see it was just sitting on the floor.
I should of measured it as there was no barrier around it maybe next time I'm there i will.
Looks like you could have lots of fun with it on a reinactment it also looks easy to build it looks to me like
a very small tank hull with a lid on it instead of a turret.

Hi Tackleberry .

I was/am in a living history group we primarely do US but do some German units . Like I said before there was one there made by the group compleate with its carrying trailer . I emailed a guy regarding this and he said the tracks were a pain to make . I was made redundent from the firm I was in , shame as I could of got a lot of bits made there as there was a foundry and machine shop . But it didnt happen  :( :( :( :(
