A salutary reminder that while we certainly can destroy this planet we do not control it.
My heart is breaking at the loss of human and animal life but it is filled with admiration for the pure guts of all those doing their utmost to bring this catastrophe to an end.

If the world really cared it would send in troops annually to clear strategic fire breaks. When done, the troops could move to areas in the world to capture and lock up all the planets poachers. And of course all the troops would be fed only vegan foods. Well, maybe skip the last one...

Of course, such moves would require decisions by the world leaders who are just a little bit preoccupied with building up their image on Twitter etc. Sigh!
