Re: Hooben 1:16 fury sherman tank
It's weird hearing education and Hooben in the same sentence considering how many things are wrong with their tanks

I have recently purchased the Hooben 'Fury' Sherman apart from finding it difficult to get inside the tank it is a very very good model..perhaps a little quiet but a very good runner...

Never buy from Hooben
Re: Hooben 1:16 fury sherman tank
I mean, any human is going to have a hard time getting into a 1/16th scale tank. Very claustrophobic..davidhath1066 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 9:03 pm I have recently purchased the Hooben 'Fury' Sherman apart from finding it difficult to get inside the tank it is a very very good model..perhaps a little quiet but a very good runner...

OK, that was funny! A shame I didn't come up with that.

Yes, yes it was funny.
This is all I got. It was floating around the FB RC tank groups this summer.

My mussis, would have no problem getting into one. She’s tiny, but perfectly formed, and she definitely has no problem getting into my wallet, which is even smaller.Mithras wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 10:37 pmI mean, any human is going to have a hard time getting into a 1/16th scale tank. Re: Hooben 1:16 fury sherman tank
Hooben actually has some pretty detailed tanks. The issue with Hooben is their customer service, their pre-sale delays, the promises they make and can't keep, and lack of spare parts. Other than that, they make decent tanks...davidhath1066 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 9:03 pm I have recently purchased the Hooben 'Fury' Sherman apart from finding it difficult to get inside the tank it is a very very good model..perhaps a little quiet but a very good runner...

Seriously though, good luck with your Sherman. Only thing with the Hooben Sherman I've heard is that the suspension is not all that resilient. Luckily there are those out there that have started 3D printing the HVSS suspension parts so if it does break, you may be able to adapt parts from those designers.
