There are some pretty tastefully detailed parts there  Let's hope the range is extended even further in the future.

I saw a couple of items ( Early rear fenders and early exhaust shrouds $90 plus the extortionate postal and custom charges) that I had already planned to make and I was so close to ordering them until I viewed the price :O Thanks but no thanks,
I shall continue with my original plan after the eyes have been fixed.
Both are relatively simple to do as there is just a bit of heating and bending of the existing fenders followed by a touch of filing,
The exhaust shrouds are a doddle using "Aber" photo etch just that instead of putting in a curve I will put a couple of creases into the plate using a brilliant tool that Tamiya make for bending photo-etch to shape and stamp the three folds each side on the upper side of each plate using a blunt small chisel. I did exactly that when I built "813" but that was a Tunisian Tiger this will be a Russian winter Tiger 1 early.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

It does look like I will have to prefabricate some exhaust shrouds. not looking forward to that part if I am honest.

The type of exhaust shroud on a tiger 1 or whether it had them at all is dependant on the date in service of the Tank.
The first Tigers did not have them,
The Tunisian Tigers had the full size rectangular shape as did the early Barbarossa Tanks in Russia, the next version was similar to the Tunisian Tigers but they were curved in shape then they were removed using the pattern that your own back plate shows.

Work continues on the upper hull. Been scratch building rods, rope brackets and lots of little rivets. I plan on having the other tow rope attached to front and rear shackles. I've also ran a rine razor saw between the side skirts to add in panel separation. ImageImageImageImage

I have a confession to make :shh:
For years I have been nagging new members of the Forum about the need to remove the excess Spare Aerial Holder from their Heng Long/Taigen Tiger 1s,
Well the truth is that leaving the correct aerial holder in place is a mistake if you value accuracy,
The real Tiger 1s spare aerial holder was elevated above the engine decking not resting on it.
I make the two "Cup" holders from 2mm Plasti-card off cuts and pin vice the holes for them in the edge of the tank body,
I cut a length of 2mm brass tube to size and mount that in the holders and with the little cap from the end of a ball point pen and a lick of paint it looks much better than the awful mess that it replaces.
