Good evening (or morning).

Somebody can help me to explain what are these parts right and left in the red circles? Some pictures of kettenkrads are with these parts and others KK are without. I would like to know what is was for and if I leave on my KK, or if I remove the parts.

Thanks for your answer and have a good day.

Fred.

The kettenkrad is by Andrew's design and is 1/16 scale, it can still be found on Xion shop but be prepared for the price, it is very rare to find one selling second hand, hope this helps

Cheers, Lee.

You need to be sitting down with a suitable restorative to hand when you go to xion.de

Hey everybody.

On Xion.de, the price is expensive because the kettenkrad is out of stock. Before I found this one, I contacted Xion twice, to ask them if they were going to launch a new production and answer was, NO...

In few days, I will post pictures of the kettenkrad... If someone is interested. :D

As the Sd.Kfz 222 and the Sd.Kfz 223, the Kettenkrads were made only 500 pieces each. In the last 6 years I had bought 6 of them - I have four and two I’ve helped to buy for my friends. One of them still haven’t build it.

Hi Will, I don't think that the tracks are available separately unfortunately, at least I have never seen them. When I bought my kit a few years ago it came with a couple of spare links as most metal track sets do. The one's on the kett are very detailed but being so small they can be a tad fragile as there's not a lot of meat on them in some areas. They came unmade in the kit as individual links and you need to be very careful while putting them together and pushing the track pins through as I found to my cost, if they are not lined up properly the opposite side is easily bent and will snap, I hope that I never need a replacement set :/

Cheers, Lee.

Good evening everybody.

This is the report about my kettenkrad.

The original fork looks bad for me, and I made mine funtional. The original hurt my eyes when I look the screws. I just need to find shock absorbers springs and finish it.

For rear, I detailed the hook and I made an electrical outlet, to power a trailer for light ( I m waiting new leds).

The last picture, is the part to close the electrical outlet, when there isn't the trailer.
