Why does it have to have a cupola? Just a plate welded on vertical bars raising the plate up like a sun shade over an open hole would do surely

Or just a plate on a hinge with a make shift catch. This is Mad Max after the apocalypse time, with cobbled together from what could be found, make shift battle transport, not German factory perfect finishing.

Also. . . .
As it's not a tank, the turret would be fixed on the back, therefore. . . .
If your turret had a long barrel, it could be in a fixed position through the cab, remember, most of the nuts driving these things were nuts lol.

Exactly, and what they found was a cupola.

I mean on the turret lol. And besides, they have one on the cab roof cos it's cooler there

Oooh, I misunderstood. Thought you meant "why have one on the truck"
Anyways, the Pz IV turret is too big. Doesn't look right.

Ok, let me put it this way ... That look does not fit with the aesthetic I'm going for.

Be sure to include lots of barbed wire along the sides Mr Lert !!............and star pickets/warratahs(they are a Y-shaped steel pole about 1.5M long in real life) used for temporary fences, and as anti personel stakes on Mad Max vehicles
Also, going to Coober Pedy where they filmed M.M.2 would help get you crazy enough to see the vehicles as normal family run abouts

!!
Nice concept
