I’m also a Model Railroader and smoke units for some reason are now a big fan favorite for many, I with the more experienced model rails never saw the sense of fake looking smoke that not only made a terrible haze in a train room but tended to leave a coat of oil from the smoke all over the top of our Locomotive’ss, many with nice custom paint jobs on them. Same can happen with our tanks, stink up the house and possibly ruin a nice paint job on a new tank! No thanks !

And as far as smokers go I’m with you 100% Jarndice, really have no use for them.

Re: Smoke oil over filled?
Hi,i have a tarr smoker in a torro jagdtiger using the V3, i connected the fan to the proportional outlet onjarndice wrote:I use "Tarr" Smokers in a lot of my tanks But as you have observed they do not work in a Taigen equipped with a V3 MFU,
The trouble then begins because the regular Heng Long/Taigen Smoker is too wide to sit beside the Heng Long/Taigen Speaker hence my fitting a Mato Speaker set to a PZ4 with a Taigen V3 Board and a Taigen Smoker,
It all fits and more importantly it all works.
the V3 and connected the tarr heating element to a switched 9V battery source.

That's fine in a Jagdtiger but you just do not have the space in a Panzer111/4 for an extra battery.
But that is a good idea when you do have the space and you want a "Tarr" Smoker as well as a V3 MFU.

I think I am about to upset someone
