These came from:

It's interesting to note that AEC was based in Southall- an area of London that was almost exclusively English until the early 1950s, and had quite a few factories. Some official signs are now in English and Punjabi, and the factories have gone.
Armoured cars were used mainly by Recce regiments. This one was really well armoured at the front, with some good defensive features. However, its profile was a tad too high (Like the Sherman), and it wasn't as mobile as it should have been. Still, it continued in use after the War...
The Mk 2 had the 6-pounder gun, and thus a fair amount of hitting power. :D

Ok thank you for the blueprints, but i think i will still have to buy a 1/35 kit and scale it up as i can't seem to find the car's dimensions anywhere. Unless anyone has any?

Buy the kit - I've been bitten way too many time by so-called 'AFV plans' that are riddled with school boy errors, having the thing in your hands in 3D makes things easier to visualise and measure (not to mention a good way to figure out how to break up the parts for printing and assembly) and you can always put the half finished kit on Ebay at the end of the project if you don't want to keep it ;)

Virtually any control board that works for a tank. If you want to add additional features later, however, it's best to go with a customisable Electronic MFU (IBU2, Clark etc...). These will allow you to use a Transmitter/that has more than 6-channels- specifically for those extra features. Taigen's latest V.3 controller allows you to use your own Transmitter, and has a sound module option. Finding the right sound for the AEC, however, would be like finding a double-decker bus on the moon, but you can always approximate it. :D

Thank you again for the replies,

The kit will be ordered very shortly then. Once i have designed the 1/16 version, i will post it for opinions.
