I have finished now my first RC 1:16 Tank. Unfortunately the Zimmerit Coating didn’t work as I was using Wood paste which was sagging down during drying. However, I put my Tank with winter camouflage with Photoshop into action.

I have correct the misstake. Thanks B
I forgot to mention that the tank colors have not been touched with Photoshop. This is a 1:1 copy paste into the background picture.

Like the winter camo and the Photoshop treatment - made me shiver!

I have two of my KTs in winter camo and prefer it to other finishes. Its surprising how easy it is to get a good winter camo finish providing you just give the whole tank a blow over of white but let the old camo show through a little - it works a treat. Lots of base colour detail gives the impression of weathering/age etc. Never sure about rusting though - does armour plate rust so quickly?

Well I assume that the life time of any WWII Tank in action was not long enough for much rust to settle down. But I guess that the tanks waiting for month or years before final battle did had alot of rust everywhere.

That's true but the KT only saw service for a short period before the war ended. You may find traces of rust on thinner metals or on weld lines of wrecks that sit for years in the battle field but that's about it. However, some modelers just like rust! ;)

What are you looking forward to building next?

I have pre-ordered the Armortek 1:6 King Tiger available begining 2020
This will be my long term project. This tank I intend to paint factory new Ardenne camoufage. I don't agree with people claiming a tank must always look damaged, worn and rusty, because every tank was at be begining brand new with no scratches, hence why not build a realist looking new tank. :-)
